Product description : MES buffer used in cell culture media and chromatography (N-morpholine) ethanesulfonic acid MES is an excellent buffering agent with a pH range of 5.5-6.7, which is a high buffering range for MES. It is often used to determine the pH value of buffer systems in chromatography and cell culture media. (N-morpholine-based) ethanesulfonic acid MES When separating and purifying proteins in the laboratory, slight changes in pH value can affect ionizable compounds, thereby affecting the separation and purification results. Therefore, it is necessary to add buffer solution to the experimental solvent to stabilize its acidity and alkalinity. Due to its low ion mobility, low conductivity, and weak metal ion binding, MES is commonly used in exclusion chromatography, capillary liquid chromatography, hydroxyapatite chromatography, cellulose phosphate column chromatography, and hydrophobic chromatography. Usually, after living cells undergo metabolism, the pH value of the culture medium will shift towards acidity, leading to pH disorder in the entire system. Most cell culture media contain metal ions, while MES can bind to iron ions and does not react with other ions. Therefore, MES buffers are often added to the culture medium to stabilize the cell environment and maintain optimal cell growth. Some fibroblasts have simple requirements for the culture medium and generally do not require the addition of additional buffering agents. However, halophilic bacteria and yeast cells have high requirements for the growth environment and require the addition of buffering agents to assist in regulating their growth environment. It should be noted that the amount of MES buffer added needs to be determined based on the capacity of the system. Over a long period of time, high concentrations of MES have latent toxicity to cells. Desheng recommends that mammalian cells require a MES content of less than 20mM, while plant culture media such as pine and fir should choose a concentration of less than 10mM. Desheng is one of the few manufacturers of biological buffering raw materials in China, with up to 42 types of biological buffering agents developed, including various common buffering agents and their derivatives, all with a purity of over 99%. Our professional sales personnel will provide matching products according to customer needs. Welcome to inquire about procurement.
