Under the catalysis of vitamin B6, CBS can synthesize cysteine sulfide from serine and homocysteine (Hcy). As a key enzyme that affects the level of Hcy, CBS plays a crucial role in the sulfuric acid conversion pathway of Hcy to cysteine sulfide.
